How Dungeons Work Here
Instanced dungeons in ArcheAge are called induns in the code, and Rookery Isles runs the full ArcheAge 3.0 (Revelation) roster of them. When you walk into a dungeon portal, the server makes a private copy of that instance world, spawns its monsters and treasure, and drops your group inside. When you leave or the lockout resets, that copy is torn down. A handful of shared spaces (the Mirage Isle hub and the Ayanad Library lobbies) are common to everyone rather than private per group.
Two things define each dungeon on this server: a level band (the minimum and maximum character level allowed inside) and a run limit per reset cycle. Normal dungeons allow five runs per cycle. The harder Greater (Ancient) versions and the group raids allow only two or three. Most dungeons also consume an entry scroll when you zone in, which you can buy, craft, or earn.
Max character level on Rookery Isles is 55, so almost every dungeon worth running at endgame caps at level 55. The big split you will care about as a player:
- Solo or small group dungeons. Most of the normal and Greater dungeons do not force a party. You can attempt them solo, duo, or in a full group of up to the listed cap. Difficulty scales with how undergeared you are, not with a hard party requirement.
- Party-only raids. A small number of instances refuse entry unless you are grouped: Serpentis, Sea of Drowned Love, and Lesser Sea of Drowned Love all set the party-required flag. Bring a team with a balanced spread of classes and skillsets.
For where these dungeons sit in the world and which continents host their entrances, see the World Atlas. For the loot you are chasing, start with Gear Progression and PvP Gear and Stats.
Entry Scrolls
Four entry items gate the instanced content. Each is a real item in our database (confirmed by item id and name). You consume one on entry.
| Entry item | Item id | Gates which content |
|---|---|---|
| Grinding Guardian Scroll | 38707 | Normal dungeons (Hadir Farm, Burnt Castle Armory, Howling Abyss, Kroloal Cradle, Palace Cellar, Sharpwind Mines) |
| Superior Grinding Guardian Scroll | 38708 | Greater (Ancient) dungeons, Serpentis, Sea of Drowned Love, the Ayanad Library combat rooms |
| Mistsong Grinding Guardian Scroll | 39803 | Mistsong Summit |
| Activated Serpentis Cube | 27965 | Lesser Serpentis (configured but disabled, see below) |
The pattern is simple: the Grinding Guardian Scroll runs the normal-tier content, and the Superior Grinding Guardian Scroll is the key to almost everything at endgame. Mistsong Summit uses its own dedicated scroll. The Heart of Ayanad raid is the one major exception: it requires no entry item at all.
Normal Dungeons
These are the bread-and-butter leveling and gearing dungeons. None of them force a party, so you can solo or group up to the listed cap. All consume the Grinding Guardian Scroll (38707) and allow five runs per reset cycle.
| Dungeon | Level band | Max players | Party required | PvP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Palace Cellar | 18 to 55 | 3 | no | no |
| Sharpwind Mines | 18 to 55 | 3 | no | no |
| Burnt Castle Armory | 30 to 55 | 5 | no | no |
| Hadir Farm | 30 to 55 | 5 | no | no |
| Howling Abyss | 40 to 55 | 5 | no | no |
| Kroloal Cradle | 45 to 55 | 5 | no | no |
Palace Cellar and Sharpwind Mines open earliest, at level 18, and cap at three players, making them ideal trio runs while you level. Burnt Castle Armory and Hadir Farm are the classic five-player midgame dungeons. Howling Abyss and Kroloal Cradle push the level requirement up toward the cap and are the natural stepping stones into the Greater versions once you hit 50.
None of these enable internal PvP, so they are pure player versus environment runs.
Greater (Ancient) Dungeons
Every normal dungeon above has a harder counterpart known as the Greater version, which is the Ancient Dungeon difficulty. These are the level 50 to 55 endgame remixes: tougher monsters, better rewards, the Superior Grinding Guardian Scroll (38708) to enter, and only two runs per reset cycle.
| Greater dungeon | Level band | Max players | Party required | PvP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Greater Palace Cellar | 50 to 55 | 3 | no | no |
| Greater Sharpwind Mines | 50 to 55 | 3 | no | no |
| Greater Burnt Castle Armory | 50 to 55 | 5 | no | no |
| Greater Hadir Farm | 50 to 55 | 5 | no | no |
| Greater Howling Abyss | 50 to 55 | 5 | no | no |
| Greater Kroloal Cradle | 50 to 55 | 5 | no | no |
These are the daily-ish endgame grind once you reach the cap. The two-run limit per cycle means you ration your Superior scrolls across the dungeons that drop what you actually need. Like their normal versions, none enable internal PvP.
Group Raids: Serpentis, Sea of Drowned Love, Heart of Ayanad
Three instances scale up to ten players and represent the top of the instanced PvE ladder.
| Raid | Level band | Max players | Party required | PvP | Entry | Runs |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Serpentis | 50 to 55 | 10 | yes | no | Superior scroll (38708) | 2 |
| Sea of Drowned Love | 50 to 55 | 10 | yes | no | Superior scroll (38708) | 2 |
| Lesser Sea of Drowned Love | 50 to 55 | 5 | yes | no | Superior scroll (38708) | 2 |
| Heart of Ayanad | 54 to 55 | 10 | no | no | none | 3 |
Serpentis is the ten-player dragon dungeon (its internal dev label is "nachashgar," but in-game it is Serpentis). It requires a party, allows two runs per cycle, and is one of the signature 3.0 raids. It does not enable internal PvP.
Sea of Drowned Love is the other major ten-player party raid, a Kraken-themed sea instance. It also comes in a five-player Lesser version for smaller teams. Both require a party.
Heart of Ayanad is the ten-player finale of the Ayanad Library, gated to level 54 to 55. It is unusual in two ways: it needs no entry scroll, and it allows three runs per cycle instead of two. This is the capstone of the Library storyline described below.
One configured raid, Lesser Serpentis, is present in the data but set to zero allowed runs and labeled unused. Treat it as disabled, do not plan around it.
The Ayanad Library
The Ayanad Library is a single large instance split into several individually named rooms, each with its own level gate. Think of it as a dungeon complex rather than one room. The shared lobby zones hold up to 190 players and are not combat instances; the combat rooms are five-player and use the Superior Grinding Guardian Scroll.
| Library room | Type | Level band | Max players | Runs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Encyclopedia Room | Shared lobby | 50 to 55 | 190 | shared |
| Libris Garden | Shared lobby | 51 to 55 | 190 | shared |
| Screaming Archives | Shared lobby | 53 to 55 | 190 | shared |
| Screening Hall | Combat room | 50 to 55 | 5 | 2 |
| Corner Reading Room | Combat room | 50 to 55 | 5 | 2 |
| Frozen Study | Combat room | 51 to 55 | 5 | 2 |
| Deranged Bookroom | Combat room | 53 to 55 | 5 | 2 |
| Heart of Ayanad | Raid finale | 54 to 55 | 10 | 3 |
You work through the combat rooms in roughly ascending level order, from the Screening Hall and Corner Reading Room at 50, through the Frozen Study at 51, up to the Deranged Bookroom at 53, before the ten-player Heart of Ayanad finale at 54 to 55. The Library matters because the Ayanad gear set, the top crafted tier on this server, is themed to this dungeon, and sealed Ayanad weapon drops come from this content. More on that below and in Gear Progression.
Mistsong Summit
Mistsong Summit is its own piece of endgame, gated to level 55 only, with a five-player cap and a dedicated entry item, the Mistsong Grinding Guardian Scroll (39803). It allows two runs per cycle.
| Dungeon | Level band | Max players | Party required | PvP | Entry | Runs |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mistsong Summit | 55 only | 5 | no | no | Mistsong scroll (39803) | 2 |
Mistsong is one of the better-rewarding endgame five-player runs because of its dedicated token and armor-crate rewards (see the loot section). Because the level band is locked to 55, it is strictly post-cap content. It does not force a party and does not enable internal PvP.
World Bosses and Sea Raids
Not all raid content is instanced. Rookery Isles has open-world raid bosses spawned out in the main world. These are confirmed present in the live spawn data, so they are encounters you can actually find and pull, not just data entries. They live in the open seas and hostile zones, which on this server means free PvP, so expect company.
| Boss | Level | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Kraken | 50 | Open-sea raid boss |
| Sanddeep Kraken | 45 | Sea raid boss |
| Abyssal Kraken | 55 | Sea raid boss |
| Leviathan | 55 | Sea raid boss |
| Red Dragon | 50 | World boss |
| Morpheus the Forsaken | 50 | World boss |
| Jola the Cursed | 52 | World boss |
The Kraken at level 50 is the classic open-sea raid: you sail out, anchor a fleet of ships, and tear into it as a server event. The Leviathan and Abyssal Kraken are both level 55 sea raids for capped characters. Because these spawn in open water and lawless zones, they double as PvP flashpoints; review PvP and Arenas before you commit a ship to one.
Some additional boss names exist in the game data (Anthalon, Storm Kraken, and a raid trio) but have no spawn entries in our world files, so we cannot confirm they are live encounters on this server. We are not listing them as active content.
What Drops Here
Per-boss loot tables (exactly which monster drops which piece, and at what rate) are not stored in the readable server database. We will not invent drop percentages or guaranteed-drop claims. What we can confirm is that the named reward items and currencies below exist as real items on this server, tied to each dungeon.
| Dungeon | Reward items confirmed to exist |
|---|---|
| Serpentis | Serpentis Vanquisher Token, Wrapped Serpentis's Legacy, Serpentis Fragment, Serpentis Dungeon Pass Chest |
| Greater Howling Abyss | Greater Abyss Vanquisher Token |
| Mistsong Summit | Mistsong Maverick Token, Mistsong Wrist Armor Crate, Mistsong Waist Armor Crate, Mistsong Reticule, Mistsong Lotus Wine, Small and Large Mistsong Keys |
| Ayanad Library | Sealed Ayanad weapons (dagger, sword, katana, axe, club, shortspear, staff, bow, shield, greatsword, nodachi), Ayanad Golem Core |
A few things to understand about how rewards work in this build:
- Token economy. Dungeons hand out completion tokens such as the Serpentis Vanquisher Token, the Greater Abyss Vanquisher Token, and the Mistsong Maverick Token. You turn these in to vendors for gear and cosmetics. See Currencies and Vendors for what each token buys.
- Armor crates. Mistsong specifically rewards wrist and waist armor crates, sealed boxes that open into gear pieces.
- Ayanad is the top crafted tier. The Library is named for the Ayanad gear set, the highest crafted gear in this build. Sealed Ayanad weapons drop from Library content. Crucially, this is ArcheAge 3.0 (Revelation), so there is no Hiram gear progression and no Erenor gear tier here. Hiram appears only as a few orphaned design items with no recipe, and Erenor exists only as map fragments and a cosmetic Hero Cloak. Anyone telling you to chase Hiram or Erenor gear on this server is describing a later patch we do not run. The real ceiling is Ayanad. For the full grade ladder (Crude up through Mythic) and how to push gear, see Gear Progression and Regrade and Gemming.
On reset timing: we can confirm the run counts (five runs for normal dungeons, two for Greater and most raids, three for Heart of Ayanad), but whether each lockout resets daily or weekly is not something we can read from the database. Check in-game timers rather than trusting a fixed schedule here.
There Is No Ranked Arena in This Build
If you came from a later version of ArcheAge expecting a ranked arena ladder, this build does not have one. There are training and duel instances (a one-on-one training camp and practice arenas) and there are battleground-style PvP instances configured in the world files, but a formal ranked arena with seasonal rating is not part of the ArcheAge 3.0 content we run.
PvP on Rookery Isles is, instead, an open-world affair: the contested zones of Nuia and Haranya, the entirely lawless Auroria continent, and the free-PvP open seas where the world bosses live. That is where your endgame gear gets tested. For the full picture of where and how PvP happens, and what gear to bring, see PvP and Arenas and PvP Gear and Stats.
On Rookery Isles
Rookery Isles runs the ArcheAge 3.0 (Revelation) dungeon roster faithfully. The thing to keep front of mind is the version: this is 3.0, not a later patch. The top gear you are working toward from dungeons is the Ayanad set, themed to the Ayanad Library. Hiram and Erenor gear progression do not exist here (they arrived in 3.5 and beyond), and there is no ranked arena ladder in this build. Reward items listed above are confirmed to exist on the server, but exact drop rates and lockout reset schedules are not something we publish without in-game confirmation, so verify those at the source rather than assuming a fixed timetable.
