Socketing is finished, everywhere
The last piece is in place. Every armor slot has now been tested with gems and every one of them calculates correctly. With weapons and instruments verified earlier this week, that makes it official: lunagem socketing works as intended on every piece of gear you can wear or wield.
Stats apply instantly now
The final fix in this series: your character sheet updates the moment the gem goes in.
- Socket a gem, the stats apply on the spot. No relog, no re-equip, no waiting. Six Max Mana gems means six gems' worth of mana, immediately.
- Remove a gem, the stats come off on the spot, and the gem goes back to your bag as always.
- Equipment Points, tooltips, and your actual combat stats all agree with each other now.
If you socketed gems before this fix and your stats looked wrong until you relogged, that is what this was. It is corrected for good.
The house rules, unchanged
- Socketing always succeeds. No failure roll, nothing is ever destroyed.
- Every piece gets 7 sockets, whatever its grade.
- Gems only fit the gear they were made for, and the game tells you plainly when one does not fit.
- Remove Lunagem returns gems to your bag, free, any time.
The one quirk, still by design
After socketing a gem, close the Regrade window and reopen it to socket the next one. Your gem is in; the window just needs refreshing. This remains the deliberate trade against gear that renders broken, and it is staying.
What this means
The socketing system is now locked and stable. Gem your gear with confidence, min-max to your heart's content, and if anything ever behaves strangely, report it in Discord rather than experimenting, because as of today, strange behavior is a bug, not a work in progress.
